Networking at conferences in the US

Published: 17 November 2014

Recently, Professor Sitaram Velaga came back from one of the largest conferences in the pharmaceutical industry and pharmaceutical research.
– It is a great opportunity to make new contacts, get new ideas and feedback on what we're doing here at Luleå University of Technology.

At the conference, the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists, AAPS, was approximately 50 countries represented. The conference is held each year in different cities in the US and this time it was held in San Diego. During five days, the top researchers in the world meet and Sitaram took the opportunity to get together with his colleagues from the United States.
– We work together, but meet only once a year. At the conference, we have time to sit down and discuss each other's projects, says Sitaram Velaga.

This year he presented some posters that describe the projects that he and his colleagues at the university are working with. In the research projects they are working with how to make good drugs even better.

– All parts of the conference is important and it's very useful to get instant feedback and comments what we can continue to work with as soon as I´m back at the university.
