International Conference in Nursing

International nursing research conference in Cartagena, Spain, aims to spread the experience, knowledge and research in nursing. PhD Päivi Juuso, assistant professor Lisa Cutting, Professor Siv Söderberg and Professor Birgitta Lindberg, Department of Nursing participated and presented their research.

The international conference has been conducted since 1996 and is an important platform to spread their own research and take note of the latest results of nursing.
- It is important for us to participate both to disseminate our research and to meet with researchers from other countries. It is also an important venue for networking, says Siv Söderberg.

It is the first time that researchers from LTU participating in this conference. During the conference held LTU S researchers three oral presentations:
- Living with a never ending pain: Meanings of pain for women with fibromyalgia.
- Living with unpredictable everday pain: women's experiences of living with whiplash injury. Päivi Juuso, Lisa Cutting and Siv Söderberg
- Videoconferencing to support families with prematurely born infant was presented by Birgitta Lindberg
