International exchange with Vietnam

To strengthen international exchanges with universities and institutions, the International Agency approved funds for a contact trip to Hanoi, Vietnam.

- Vietnam offers interesting perspectives on health care that is different from what the students can get through our other international contacts, said Professor Siv Söderberg.

Department of Health Sciences at Luleå University has begun a long-term plan for the international exchange. Previously, the department has received grant funding and visited universities in India and Liberia. This has has led to that students at the institution was granted MFS scholarships to implement parts of his education there in spring 2013.

- Vietnam is an important complement and options for students in Nursing and Master programs in nursing, occupational therapy and physical therapy. Cooperation can increase awareness of global health issues for students and teachers at the department, said Professor Siv Söderberg.

The trip will be made by professor Siv Söderberg, assistant professor Lisa Cutting and lecturer Malin Henriksson. The time in Hanoi will be used to build relationships and partnerships to enable MFS exchange.
