Research supervision course

The course on Research Supervision will be held by HPC. The course is addressed to those who has completed a doctoral degree and has, or is expected to have, supervisor duties in PhD studies.

Themes adressed during the course are the research education at LTU, rules and guidelines, research funding, gender and diversity in postgraduate education, learning goals and individual study plans, ethics, supervisor role, relationship supervisor and doctoral student, tutoring.

Please note that active participation and completed assignments are required to obtain a course certificate. Sign up for the course only if you can attend the scheduled times and spend the time required for your own work. It is estimated that participants need to complete 120 hours of work on the course.

Language of instruction is English. The next course starts autumn 2019 and the one after that autumn 2020. Max 24 participants. If the number of applicants exceeds 24, a selection will be made in consultation with the relevant heads of department.

  • September 28-29 or September 30-Oktober 1 (Internat in half the group)

  • November 12
  • December 1 
  • December 18
