High school students who read poetry in their spare time do so for the strong aesthetic and emotional experiences. The poetry reading also entails increased self-understanding, acceptance and community during difficult periods. This according to new research at Luleå University of Technology.
Luleå University of Technology has signed four collaboration agreements with school principals in Piteå, Luleå, Kalix and Skellefteå. The purpose is to establish closer links between academia and school within the framework of the national experimental activities ULF (Development, Learning, Research).
