Appreciated Nolleperiod in Piteå

Published: 25 August 2016

This week nearly a hundred new students arrived to Piteå School of Music at Luleå University of Technology. As usual, the academic year begins with the so-called "nolleperiod" when the new students get the chance to get to know their new classmates.

- The Nolleperiod has been very fun. Everything has been very well organized and we have got to meet a lot of new people. Phösarna really managed to create a good atmosphere, says Mattias Ivarsson who is to stydy audio technology. The variety of activities is something that he appreciated very much.

Mixed fun with seriousness

- For example, we've had different themed parties and yesterday we sacrificed a mixing console to the Holy needle (the spire at Studio Acusticum, reds. Note.). It has been a good mix of serious parts and more wisecracking elements, said Mattias Ivarsson and is backed by journalist student Amirali Tajik:
- Everything has been great fun and we really had a chance to get to know each other. It has surpassed all my expectations, I must say.

The new students will read one of the following programs: journalism and media, audio technology, music, artistic candidate, subject teachers (dance and music) and Music Performance Master.
