CENE Research School September 2018

Published: 14 September 2018

On September 13, six PhD students from different subjects within The Department of Civil, Environmental and Natural Resources Engineering graduated from the Department's research school. After a year of different small courses, they presented their thesis proposal at the final seminar.

In addition to their topic area, each PhD student presented research questions and methods, time schedule and publication plans, challenges, possible risks and ethical aspects of their work.

Following the presentation, they were "cross-examined" by a senior panel and the audience. A poster was prepared by each student to present the research project in more detail.

Afterwards, a small celebration was held in the coffee room. A jury nominated the best poster, which this time was made by Pratama Istiadi Guntoro. He got a nice price consisting of practical things for the local climate. The posters will remain outside the drawing room until the next round of new PhD students completes the graduate school, probably during spring 2019.
