Registration for Stormwater course online 22-24 February, 2022 is open
It is high time to register for the Stormwater course taking place in February 2022. Due to the pandemic, the course is given online.
In this course you will learn about stormwater in urban areas focusing on sustainable and modern stormwater management including blue-green infrastructure.
Topics that will be addressed are stormwater quantity and quality, stormwater systems and facilities as well as their function and sizing. In addition to these technical elements, the course takes up stormwater in urban planning and ecosystem services that blue-green infrastructure can provide. You will also be introduced to computer models that can be used for stormwater system modelling.
Part of the course is a three-day meeting, discussions and exercises. The first two days focus on introducing stormwater management including driving forces, challenges and opportunities. Stormwater flows/volumes and quality will be discussed with focus on blue-green stormwater management infrastructure. On the third day, the participants will get an insight into computerized modeling tools such as SWMM and StormTac.
Godecke Blecken, Stormwater&Sewers is responsible for the course and contributes with his knowledge of blue-green infrastructure. Moreover, Ico Broekhuizen and Heléne Österlund will also contribute with their expertise in stormwater modelling and stormwater quality respectively.
