DRIZZLE testsite i Luleå

Luleå is one of the test sites within DRIZZLE and recently two pilot plants for stormwater management in cold climates were built.
One of the pilot facilities is an upgrade of an existing stormwater outlet at Storheden's industrial area, which will be loaded with snow and studied for its treatment capacity.
The second facility is located right next to the University of Luleå and consists of three swales that function as a test bed and enable research studies where parameters such as flow, meltwater and snow volumes can be varied and studied based on the swales' treatment and retention capacity.
