Svenskt Vatten’s RÖK conference
This year Svenskt Vatten’s RÖK (Sewer network and Climate) conference was held between 18th -19th January 2022. The conference was held via an online live broadcast. The discussions covered research, new reports and results, maintenance and renewal, climate adaptation, law and leakages in drinking water pipe networking, and infiltration and inflow.
The program also included short panel sessions. Presenters from Stormwater&Sewers included postdoc Katharina Lange who presented on the purification of microplastics in stormwater, PhD candidate Emmanuel Okwori, who presented on how geographically weighted Poisson regression (GWPR) can be used to identify which factors influence increased blockages in various locations on the network. Lastly, Professor Annelie Hedström presented the research themes and future outlook within Stormwater&Sewers.
