World Water Day 2022 - seminar on wastewater volumes and dimensioning of LPS systems
Celebrating World Water Day on 22 March, focusing this year on Groundwater - to make the invisible visible, Stormwater&Sewers invites to the seminar "How much wastewater is generated from individual properties - guidance for dimensioning LPS systems?". Also, this seminar is the first in a new series of Stormwater&Sewers seminars within the fields of Sewers and Resource Efficient Small Wastewater Systems.
LPS systems are often installed in order to remove individual sewage systems and thus protect the groundwater.
Annelie Hedström and Inga Herrmann from Luleå University of Technology will talk briefly about the difficulties of dimensioning LPS systems and the risk of hydrogen sulphide formation and also discuss the results from a recent study when sewage flow data from about 340 properties and a total of almost 200,000 measurement days have been evaluated. The results of the study have been published in a Swedish Agency for Marine and Water Management report which aimed to provide better input data for calculating the environmental impact of outgoing sewage from smaller sewage treatment plants.
If you want to participate in this seminar you need to register no later than March 20, 2022. The zoom link will be sent out to all registered participants the day before the seminar.
Feel free to spread information about this seminar and the invitation in your organization and your networks!
