In the media: The Polhems prize for pioneers behind pine diesel

This year's Polhems prize winner Valeri Naydenov and Lars Stigsson have developed the recipe for tall diesel produced from tall oil, a residual product in the production of pulp. SunPine in Piteå - the world's first factory for tall diesel - today produces 100,000 cubic meters per year.

Valeri Naydenov Born in Bulgaria, where he also graduated in organic and analytical chemistry. PhD in Chemical Technology at Luleå University of Technology. Currently working as research and development manager at SunPine.
