In the media: A Research Mine rescues mining operations in Pajala

The Kaunisvaara Mine will become a research mine for the industry. Luleå Technical University and Pajala Municipality are workning on this idea according to Haparanda Newspaper.
"It secures the plant until ore prices are rising and the mine can be opened again, which takes place sooner or later", says Professor Pär Weihed at Luleå University, who is the initiator of the project.
