Soil and rockfill dams - an insight into the causes of dam failure

Hans Mattsson, researcher in Geotechnical Engineering at Luleå University of Technology, talks in his docent lecture about how an earth and rockfilled dam is constructed in different zones and what function these zones have. But the most common causes of dam failure in this type of pond construction are also discussed.
