Professor Uday Kumar is conferred Honorary Professorship at Beijing Jiaotong University
Professor Kumar was conferred an Honorary Professorship by the Beijing Jiaotong University, Beijing in a simple ceremony on September 4, 2016 considering his contribution to the body of knowledge relevant for the railway engineering sector in general and railway maintenance technology in particular.
“I am extremely honored and pleased to be associated as honorary professor with one of the world’s leading university dedicated to transport research and education known for its contribution to research and education in railway engineering. . I am thankful to my colleagues and my research group for their contributions towards this honour “says Professor Uday Kumar.
Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU) which is celebrating its 120 the anniversary is a national key university which is involved in Research and Innovation work for the railway industry specially for the high speed trains and is equipped with many key railway laboratories
During Ceremony , Vice president of BJTU - Professor Feng Cheng stated that Beijing Jiaotong University is looking for a close cooperation with Luleå University of Technology for building competence in the areas of railway maintenance and initiating R&D projects in the area of eMaintenance relevant for the for railway sector with special reference to high speed trains.
The installation ceremony also included an open seminar to the Faulty and students.
