"My first impression about LTU is that, it is a lively and vibrant university which is full of hard working dedicated academic staff members with of course very cooperative and competent support service providers. I have found it to be equipped with the best teaching and service technologies and I find studying here the very refreshing and rewarding" says Tsegay Berhane Abay.
The master programme provides skills for work as a geologist / geophysicist in the mineral exploration and mining industry or in environmental geosciences.
"Before I applied and was admitted to this program, I have graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia and have been working for some time in geosciences. Even though I am in my first year study and have not finally decided where I am going to carry out my final degree project, I would prefer to do it here in northern Sweden, where most of the best exploration and mining companies are based", says Tsegay Berhane Abay.
