Student project the Venture Cup
Venture Cup is an ideas competition where the best business idea wins. Now a student project from Luleå University of Technology to streamline work with cranes at construction sites, has gone to the regional final of the competition.
KranPlan is the name of the concept that students from the Master Programme in Architectural Engineering has developed.
– This shows that our students are very close work in the construction industry when you can develop this kind of concept, says Jarkko Erikshammar, Adjunct lecturer at Luleå University of Technology.
KranPlan is a service offering to the crane rental companies in the form of an app for monitoring, queuing systems and communications for more efficient crane operation and better flow in construction output.
The project KranPlan was developed by the students Albin Lindberg, Josefin Blomberg and Ellinor Emilsson, and has previously competed and won an honorary award in a student competition, The Dragon´s den, as a part of the education programme at Luleå University of Technology.
