Geometallurgy goes virtual! Mine visits by a virtual and interactive field trip
Due to Covid-19, our study trip within the M7008K Geometallurgy course planned in week 40 had to change the format. Now, a series of virtual and interactive field trips has been organized by LTU/Mineral Processing under the guiding topic "Geometallurgy in the Nordic Context (Sweden and Finland)".
Several online talks will be given by experts from both industry and academia, thus providing the opportunity to virtually visit and explore Swedish and Finnish mining operations, mine projects, and research facilities.

Many thanks to all companies (Boliden, LKAB, Mawson, OrExplore, Talga, GTK) and speakers for their contribution and for sharing their experiences and expertise.
Even though the course is first of all provided to students from our program Emerald – Master in Georesource Engineering, we accept a limited number of students and academics from related disciplines.
For further information on the schedule and registration, please contact Dr. Yousef Ghorbani, Associate Professor in Mineral Processing.
