VALLA Coach training finalized during May
Since September, a group of 8 persons from 4 different partnering companies have trained to use and get value from methods in the VALLA Coach platform, a research project with researchers from Luleå University of Technology. They have now competence and capability to make use of methods aimed for increasing productivity and safety at construction sites.
VALLA Coach is a project financed through Smart Built Environment in close collaboration with industry partners NCC, Veidekke, Bo Klok and Ikano Bostad, that aims to increase productivity and safety at construction sites. During the last year the methods have been validated and implemented through a course in Industrialized Construction, a course given by the division for Industrialized and Sustainable Construction (ISC) at Luleå University of Technology. The course was performed in 5 modules. In May, the “students” presented their final work, a concrete proposal for their company in how to implement and make use of their new competence and capability. "We congratulate the companies for having these persons employed", says Kajsa Simu, Adjunct Senior Lecturer at ISC at Luleå University of Technology.
"From a research perspective, we have together with our academic partners, Linköping university and Chalmers, described bottom-up intervention at operational level in a research paper", Kajsa continues. This research will be presented at the Arcom conference in Glasgow, UK, in September 2020.
