In the media: LKAB's successful exploration guarantees production until at least 2060

LKAB's exploration initiative is applauded by Pär Weihed, professor of ore geology at Luleå University of Technology. Weihed has previously been critical of the fact that LKAB for decades neglected to search for deposits.
But he also points out that there are challenges in mining at greater depths, finding expertise for mines and mining communities, as well as permit processes that take time.
