In the media: Three billion-year-old bedrock is visible at a depth of 100 kilometers in Gällivare

Right now, the bedrock in the Ore Fields can be seen. With the help of electromagnetic radiation, scientists can now look a hundred kilometers into the ground to analyze how it was formed several billion years ago.
"Our main goal is to understand how the earth works," says Maxim Smimov, assistant professor at LTU.
