Modelling course and a series of mine waste management & mine site reclamation seminars

The first seminar in the series, entitled ”Numerical simulations in mine site reclamation design” could not take place as planed because of issues with ZOOM. It has been rescheduled to September 24th (see seminar list attached).

The strategic research area “Natural Resources for Sustainability Transitions” – SUN is organizing a modelling course and a series of mine waste management & mine site reclamation seminars, during August-September 2021.

The topic of the course is numerical simulations of geo-environmental processes on mine sites (total: 18 hours). The seminars are about mine site reclamation and R&D trends in mining environment in Canada

The teacher will be Thomas Pabst, Associate Professor, Department of Civil, Geological and Mining Engineering, Polytechnique Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Prof. Pabst is visiting LTU in the framework of SUNs financing of short-term visits of prolific researchers to LTU

The participation is free of charge and eligible for participation are both bachelor students and PhD students. Physical attendance is necessary.
