"A knowledge structure that provides synergy effects"
Veronica Jägare represents the Luleå Railway Research Centre (JVTC), in the work with AI Factory Railways, AIFR, at Luleå University of Technology.
"AIFR combines relevant and necessary digitization technology for data sharing and at the same time offers services for Artificial Intelligence (AI)", she says.
JVTC at Luleå University of Technology is a competence center that conducts applicable research and innovation in operational safety and maintenance for the railway transport system.
Lower climate impact
JVTC wants to contribute knowledge that makes it more attractive to transport by rail with better punctuality and lower climate impact.
"We offer a neutral game plan where the railway players can meet to conduct research and innovation in the area together. The stakeholders are for example different companies. We also have an active collaboration with other FOI players in Sweden and the rest of the world", says Veronica Jägare, who is Deputy Director at JVTC.
She represents JVTC members in AIFR.
"AIFR is part of JVTC's investments".
A working platform
Veronica Jägare believes that the important thing about AIFR is that there is a complete platform where the development has led to a build-up of knowledge that provides synergy effects for all newly started studies in the area.
"This means that you do not have to start from the beginning. By participating in AIFR, you can take advantage of previous results that allow you to be at the forefront of development. We will benefit from the structure and work process within AIFR, the platform for data sharing between organizations and the accumulated knowledge in new technology", she says.
Relevant digitization technology
Veronica Jägare states that AIFR combines relevant and necessary digitization technology for data sharing and provides services for Artificial Intelligence (AI).
"The work has worked very well with a well-composed team with different complementary areas of knowledge".
