Sustainable renovations – a collaborative project with Lulebo
In a collaborative project with the housing company Lulebo, a PhD student of the division of Industrialized and Sustainable Construction at Luleå University of Technology, will be researching in the field of sustainable renovations of multi-residential buildings.
The collaborative research project with Lulebo have been initiated with a first meeting, and a project group has been formed. A PhD student will follow the housing company’s work to observe and formulate possible research questions for the project. The research will encompass relevant renovation objects from Lulebo’s building stock and have an overall focus on reduced environmental impact through renovation. At this early stage of the project, life cycle assessments and the considering of varying lifespans is of interest.
“For a long time, I have wanted to work with and contribute to a sustainable development, so this project will be very exciting. There are many possible directions for this research, and I look forward to finding my area of focus while learning more of Lulebo’s work and context”, Liza Sällström Eriksson says, PhD student in the division of Industrialized and Sustainable Construction at Luleå University of Technology.
