Weronika Sredniawa is a new employee and a Senior Research Engineer in Mining and Rock Engineering at Luleå University of Technology.
What are you going to work on?
The project is focused on mining and education. In this project, we intend to develop new ideas with relation to teaching in mining. The focus topic is related to Mine Design, Underground Transportation Systems and Production Planning.
Tell us a little about your background
I have the title of Master of Science in Mining and Geology. I completed many projects related to mining, I acquired knowledge in mine designing, economic evaluation of the project, mine planning and project management. In addition, I have knowledge of the broadly understood field of geology, geochemistry and mineral exploration. I have gained first-hand experience during the internships in KGHM and LKAB, where I had the opportunity to put theoretical knowledge gained at university, my analytical skills and logical thinking skills into practice.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I am a nature-lover, I enjoy going for a walk, or for a hike. My favourite hobby is travelling, I love discovering new cities and places around the world. I love learning and adapting to new cultures, finding commonalities between people everywhere.
