In the media: Storage of carbon dioxide can save the climate

Published: 1 April 2014

Maria Ask, mining engineer and associate professor at Luleå University of Technology, thinks that carbon storage is a good method for short-term reductions.

- The cool stuff with carbon storage is that there really is a way to mimic nature. The liquid carbon dioxide being pumped into the rock will eventually become mountains, which is a natural way for mountains to be formed.
