CENE Research School June 2017

Published: 7 June 2017

On June 1, 17 PhD students from different subjects within The Department of Civil, Environmental and Natural Resources Engineering graduated from the Department's research school. After a year of different small courses, they presented their dissertation plan at a joint closing seminar.

In addition to its theme, they presented research questions and methods, time and publication plans, challenges, possible risks and ethical aspects of their work. After the presentation, it became "cross-examination" through a senior panel and the audience. In the evening the ending was celebrated with mingle, good food and drinks in the CENE Coffee room. In addition to his presentation, each doctoral student also made a poster about his project. A jury nominated the best poster made by Ingrid Silva. She got a nice price consisting of a practical conference set. The posters will remain outside the drawing room until the next round of new PhD students end the graduate school in late October.
