Jerker Delsing looks forward to his new commitment. From Artemis point of view, he expects the association to continue its work on promoting research and innovation on software technologies for automation and digitalisation and widen the industrial and academic participation in national and European roadmaps for software technologies.
– Artemis also has an important role to play when it comes to political understanding for the importance of software technologies in our society. Software is the key part of automation and digitalisation in our society. Software is part of almost every thing today from simple temperature control in a room to upcoming autonomous vehicles and their role in autonomous transportation systems, says Jerker Delsing.
– The wider understanding of this includes the necessity for ensuring the maintenance, evolution and security of such software systems and technologies.
As part of Artemis’ presidium, Jerker Delsing will be able to combine his experiences from international research collaborations with the research carried out at Luleå University of Technology.
– My network already generates invitations to a number of high profile project proposals. I hope that my position and network can help in further building the reputation of Luleå University of Technology as a strong and reliable competence partner to industry, says Jerker Delsing.
