Graduate School of Space Technology

The Graduate School of Space Technology is a program for graduate students from a variety of disciplines, who all pursue research projects related to space technology. Luleå University of Technology has the chief responsibility for running the graduate school, which was established in 2001. Since then over 40 PhD students have graduated in the graduate school.

The current (third) round of the graduate school began in 2015 and includes 19 PhD students. It is run in collaboration with IRF (the Swedish Institute of Space Physics) and the effort RIT (Space for innovation and growth).  The research subjects represented are Appled Physics, Atmospheric Science, Engineering Materials, Machine Elements, Onboard Space Systems, and Product Innovation.
