Fluid and Experimental Mechanics

The division hosts the subjects Fluid Mechanics and Experimental Mechanics.Regarding research the groups share the interest in experimental fluid mechanics and laser based methods such as Laser Doppler Velocimetry and Particle Image Velocimetry but each group on its own has a much wider pallet of research.
This includes usage of Computational Fluid Dynamics as a research tool and laser-based optical methods to study deformation of solids as can be seen on the presentations of the subjects (LINKS). Through the subjects the Division has the responsibility of a large number of courses on all levels of education.
