The Swedish Water & Wastewater Association SWWA has instituted a prize for "best thesis within the Urban Water Area" to create more attention and attraction for the area. Ida Sandström, student of the Master Programme in Natural Resources Engineering with focus on environment and water, is awarded this prize for her thesis "Multi-criteria analyzis - Assessment tools for future drinking water supply".
"This award for Ida Sandström shows that we at Luleå University of Technology have ambitious and talented students. It also shows that the education our students receive at the university helps them to carry out studies in the forefront", says Lisa Dahlén, education leader for the master programme in Natural Resources Engineering.
"This was a great and pleasant surprise! I feel proud receiving this award", says Ida Sandström who now works at WSP Group.
The prize, free participation in the Water Meeting and a scholarship of 25 000 SEK, is awarded on the Water Meeting in Karlstad May 16 to 17. Swedish Water wants the price help generate more attention and attraction for VA topic. The hope is that the price will contribute to more students at Swedish universities focus on urban water engineering.
