Åsa Kastensson, industrial PhD student Saab Automobile, presented her thesis called: Managing Innovation Projects: a perspective of explore and exploit. Her work focuses on the dilemma of implementation of innovations in products. She has mapped the area and found interesting research questions to guide the continuation of her work.
Dr. Annika Zika Viktorsson, VINNOVA, acted as a discussion leader. Dr. Zika Viktorsson expertise is found within the area of managing innovation projects, and under her guidance the discussion highlighted different perspectives, which the audience also could learn from.
In the afternoon, Peter Thor, industrial PhD Volvo Aero, presented his work. The title of his thesis is: Enabling Engineering Support for Integrated Product and Service Innovation. Peter works in two of our projects, ProViking THINK and Crescendo.
He has described the cooperation between product developers and method developers, and that work has served as a basis for a platform for an integrated tool for product-service offerings. Associate professor Erik Sundin, Linköping University, acted as a discussion leader. He has both the historical perspective and expertise in Product Service Systems, so also the afternoon was considered as an occasion for gaining more knowledge.
