Career styles, Labour market, Employability, Transferrable skills, Personal branding, and what employers expect in the workforce.
18 April: Goal-Setting
Setting objectives for your brand and your career, examining both short and long-term goals, SMART goals.
25 April: CVs and Résumés
What to include and not include in your CV and your résumé and how to get noticed by recruiters.
2 May: Cover Letter Writing
What to include in a cover letter to market yourself for a particular job
9 May: Social Media
Managing your digital presence depending on where you want to work and where others in your field are.
16 May: Job Interview and Salary Negotiation
What to prepare and how to handle various interview questions as well as what questions to ask the recruiter.
23 May: Elevator Pitch
How to pitch yourself and your research and presentation skills
30 May: Presentation Workshop
Final presentations and feedback
The course is offered free of charge and awards 3 points (after authorization from the supervisor). A certificate of course completion will be given to all who complete the course and homework assignments.
Requirements for course completion:
- Attendance at lectures (1p)
- Completion of homework assignments (1p)
- Final presentation and providing feedback to others (1p)
