Successful and appreciated workshop on procrastination and upcoming event

On Thursday the 13th of September the PhD student association arranged an afternoon workshop on the topic of procrastination. The workshop was part of the association’s current theme on research inspiration.

Alexander Rozental, PhD in psychology and active researcher in the field of procrastination, hosted the workshop. During the workshop, basic theory about procrastination, common reasons why we procrastinate and strategies to overcome the phenomenon were presented by Alexander.  In addition, the participants had the chance to discuss and share their own experiences and thoughts about the topic and how procrastination can affect our professional and daily lives.

The workshop was held in Luleå with a total of 54 persons being registered, including students participating online from Skellefteå.

Next activity on the theme of research inspiration will be a workshop held by Åsa Burman on the 11th of October 09:00-12:00 in A117 LKAB-room. In this workshop, you will learn about and try a variety of academic effectiveness tools related to both long-term and short-term planning as well as prioritization.

The workshop will be in English and everyone who signs up before the 7th of October will get coffee and fika. There will also be a possibility to join the workshop on distance for students at other campuses (sign up and in the allergies box enter “distance”).
