Music Performance

Published: 16 May 2013

Music Performance is a subject where artistic issues relevant to musical creativity and performance are examined, usually in close connection to their own creative musical-artistic activities. The subject is not limited to certain genres or forms of expression, but rather includes almost all musical or artistic fields. It takes its place in the spectrum between art and science, and is more interested in what unites artistic and scientific work than what separates them. Artistic method, theory and practice are central to the subject, whilst there is still an openness to other methodological and theoretical approaches in so far as they are relevant to the individual research project.
