Birgitta Olofsson, together with the research subjects Wood Building and Construction production played a significant role during the implementation of the research programme Lean Wood Engineering. She has also contributed to the research for improved structural criteria for sound insulation.
Together with research subject VA technology, she has been one of the driving industry representatives in planning and enabling of research programme ATTRACT. Along with her other efforts, these commitments has been of great importance for the development of attractive community building, one of the University's strong research and innovation areas. Birgitta Olofsson's position as a member of the Board of Railway Technology Centre is also vital for sustainable transport, another of the university's strong research and innovation areas.
