How would it feel to never buy a new vacuum cleaner again? Luleå University of Technology's new future area, Creaternity, is about creating a circularly connected industry. What does that mean then? Well, that we should take it easy and think before we build or manufacture something, so that the material consumption of the future will not be as great. That we should build digital sensors in the products that warn when the parts start to get old, so that we can replace the part before it breaks. If we are to achieve the set environmental goals during this decade, "decade of action", we must stop constantly buying new things and instead recycle, upgrade and reuse. The wear and tear era is over.
