Industrial Electronics

EISLAB is through the Industrial Elektronics topic active in five search domains:  Internet of Things (IoT) and System of Cyber Physical Systems (SoCPS), Electronics production, Sensor system, Electronics design and embedded EMC.

In the domain of  Internet of Things (IoT) and System of Cyber Physical Systems (SoCPS) EISLAB cooperates with many industrial and academic partners developing the Arrowhead Framework ( For the purpose EISLAB is part several projects. Most important are two very large ECSEL-JU projects:

  • Arrowhead Tools, with focus on digitalisation and automation engineering of digitalisation and automation solutions. EISLAB is coordinator. The project has 80 partners and 90M€ budget
  • Productive4.0 focusing optimised supply chain management covering the entire product lifecycle. LTU leads the architecture work package. The project has 108 partners and 100M€ budget.
Sensor Systems

We develop both ultrasonic and optical sources and receivers for measuring surface geometry, position and velocity of solid objects, fluids, gases and suspensions.

Electronic Design

The Electronic Design group at EISLAB performs research on analog and mixed-signal design for sensor systems, embedded systems, and vehicle electronics. The group covers a wide range of projects, ranging from high efficiency motor drivers, through wireless platforms for sensor networking, down to low-noise transistor design on silicon.

Embedded EMC

In the Embedded EMC domain a National Science foundation (VR) funded project is run in close collaboration with Univ L’Aquila and professor Giulio Antonini.
