Best in Sweden: Very high quality Occupational Thearpy

Luleå University of Technology are rated Very high for their occupational training in a new evaluation of Swedish National Agency for Higher Education(HSV). Luleå University of Technology is the only university in the country to get that high score for this education

- I'm really glad and this shows that our investments in education quality give good results. It is also a tribute to our employees who devote all their  efforts and energy to create the best conditions for study as possible for our students, says Johan Sterte, Vice-Chancellor at Luleå University of Technology.

To get  the grade "Very high quality" means that the objectives of the training Occupational Education at Luleå University of Technology  are satisfied very much. Swedish National Agency for Higher Education writes, among other things, that perticular education very much demonstrates knowledge of the scientific basis and an awareness of current research and development as well as knowledge of the relationship between science and proven experience and the significance of their duties.

Furthermore, the assessment of HSV, are that students very much demonstrates the ability to independently and in collaboration with the individual conduct occupational therapy measures that prevent, improve and compensate for reduced activity ability. Additionally, the students very much shows the ability of a professional approach to clients and patients, their families and other groups.

The Department of Health is very happy of the very fine grade:

- This really is fantastic that our occupational training received review that it is of very high quality, we also are the only program in the country with that review, that makes it even more amazing. It is an incredible work done over many years to develop the quality of education that is now bearing fruit with a very nice result, says Maria Larsson Lund, assistant professor and program director of the occupational therapy program at the Department of Health Sciences at Luleå University of Technology.

- I see it as the result of a long-term and targeted teamwork of people with high competence, diligence and ambition, all of which have attracted various things so that the quality of education would qualify for the excellent review, we are just enjoying today, says Maria Larsson Lund.

Head of the Department of Health Sciences, Mai Lindstrom:

- I feel so proud of my emplyees. This very fine grade shows that our work is of good quality and that cooperation pays off, it will produce good results. The rating from HSV is a fine proof that we succeeded very well with this, she says.
