Student projects from idea to product

Published: 29 May 2015

Occupational therapy students in the fourth semester presented their ideas for possible future products. Fifteen presentations were made before a jury of experts.

–  The jury is impressed by how much they got done in so little time. They really have thought of the big picture and some products are worth going futher with, says jurymember Lisa Braafnäs, business developer at LTU Business AB.

This is the fourth time that the study section Entrepreneurial approach is examined before a jury.

The aim of the course section is to provide students with knowledge and inspiration, now or in the future, commercialize their ideas.

The study section focuses on how individuals and groups are important for creating the entrepreneurial processes.

–  Through an introduction to entrepreneurial learning, students are informed that there is support to get from the university, but also from the county and municipalities, says Maria Prellwitz, examiner and lecturer at Luleå University of Technology.

The jury consisted of:

Lisa Braafnäs, LTU Business AB
Kerstin Lindstrom, Innovations Sluice North
Therese Wiklund, Venture Cup
Maria Schinkler, LTU Career Center

Last year,  the occupational therapist students Malin Boström and Elina Firouzfar won with their height adjustable curtain rod Easy Curtain both torque Pitch and Torque Mission in the Venture Cup.
