We want to make your everyday life better!

You have been selected to participate in a travel experience survey conducted by Luleå University of Technology. By participating in the survey and gathering information about your travels, you help us improve the environments for pedestrians in Umeå. Anyone in your household can participate.

How does it work?

With the help of the TravelVu app, you can collect information about your travels directly in your phone. You don't have to change your behavior in any way, just make sure you have the phone with you when you travel.

The information about you is protected by GDPR. The information collected will be used to understand how the Umeå residents travel and how we can plan the city based on your needs. The results are anonymous and cannot be traced to an individual.

When?

Get started!

  1. Start by downloading the TravelVu app in the App store or Google play.
  2. Select the survey called “Pedestrians in Umeå 2019” and enter the password “Umea2019”.

Why?

Luleå University of Technology, in collaboration with Sweco, conducts a study on how the urban environment can be developed to make it better for traveling on foot. The study is based on detailed studies over a longer period of time, in order to identify causal causal relationships, ie. keep track of the cause and effect of the choice of traffic, regarding the built environment and external factors in society. The study is conducted together with a number of municipalities, about 4 municipalities; Umeå, Lerum, Luleå and Västerås. You can read more about it at www.ltu.se/planering-fotgangare .

By contributing how you travel and how you look at traveling, you help us better understand how the environment should be planned based on your perspective in your city.

Thanks in advance!
