Each project was granted with a “seed” funding for 6 months. This call funded 35 successful applications. The MBR Centre for Accelerated Research has showcased eight of them which have the potential of helping us back on Earth.
The “Water Farming on Mars” project lead by GAS (1) Professors Javier Martin-Torres, Mª Paz Zorzano Mier and GAS PhD students Thasshwin Mathanlal, Abhilash Vakkada and Miracle Israel Nazarious, has been highlighted as number 1 in the MBR Centre for Accelerated Research brochure “Space Settlement Research. Inspiration for a better Earth” that summarizes the top 8 solutions from space to Earth.
This document states the view of Centre as to what will be the advantages of space exploration, which will help us building food security, tackle climate change, stimulating a constructive sense of wonder and laying a foundation for international cooperation.
In this publication “Water Farming on Mars” is underlined with the first position of the eight groundbreaking projects explained in the brochure.
