My experience at Luleå University of Technology started with an internship in the terms of the Erasmus placement program and then I continued my work there as an IAESTE intern. During the time I spent in Biochemical Process Engineering group, I had the chance to be involved in three different projects; the production and purification of LPMO enzymes, the characterization of FoFaeC mutants and the production of L- arginine by E. coli mutants. I became familiar with cultivations, fermentations in bioreactors, various techniques of analysis and downstream processing.
Moreover, through this internship I became able to manage different projects, work independently but also collaborate and conduct real research. In overall, it was a great experience which offered me valuable knowledge in the field of biotechnology and helped me in my future steps. Currently, I am doing my Master studies in Biotechnology at Lund University.
