
International team of scientists led by LTU PhD student won Top Stars 2018
The team of PhD students from various European Universities lead by Ilda Tole from the Building Materials Group at LTU won tough competition organized during the Top Stars 2018 – Eit Raw Materials Summer School, held in Trento (Italy) in July 16-25, 2018. The winning NanoRubber project proposed a new process enhancing properties of the de-vulcanized rubber with nanomaterials. Linda Neiström was yet another winning team member from LTU.

Top Stars 2018 – Eit Raw Materials Summer School gathered 55 PhD students and young researchers from 24 different universities from across Europe. The participants attended a series of lectures and seminars finalized by the team competition. Each team had to solve a certain scientific/industrial problem related to the usage of primary resources, substitution and recycling. The jury consisted of Business Developer of EIT raw materials and CLC South, representatives of 4 academic partners, 4 industrial partners and of HIT-Hub Innovazione Trentino.
