The ice situation is changing rapidly in Norrbotten right now. After a longer period of constant cold, says researcher Vasiola Zhaka at Luleå University of Technology.
Because during the last seven-day period, the ice on the smaller lakes has settled considerably. Porsöfjärden in Luleå has a depth of 15 centimeters and the ice was visible there as late as Thursday.
