Published: 30 April 2020

The research group Construction management and building technology is looking to hire a new PhD Student.

The research group Construction Management and Building Technology at the Division of Industrialized and sustainable construction conducts research and education concerning the building process stretching from planning and design to construction. Our core competencies are management and automation of the building process, industrialized and traditional construction and production systems, primarily for building construction but also for civil construction.

The doctoral project is aimed at identifying, following-up and evaluating the environmental and economic effects of various renovation measures in a life cycle perspective. The first phase of the project will include state-of-the-art investigations of renovation strategies and specific measures, as well as analyses and simulations of the effects of various measures in case studies. In the second phase, methodology is developed that can be used as a basis for life-cycle-based decisions on measures in renovation projects.
