Who leads the development of mass timber construction?

Swedish companies in the wood industry are investing in new factories for producing Cross Laminated Timber, and wood is gaining market shares from other structural materials in the Swedish building sector. Market opportunities and products exist, but who is leading the development? Anna-Lena Gull, PhD student at Luleå Technical University will in co-operation with ByggDialog Dalarna explore how industrialized building can be integrated in the traditional construction industry.

Lulebo's properties become research labs

Luleå University of Technology has together with the municipal housing company Lulebo started a long-term collaboration project within the field of sustainable refurbishment for enhanced quality with less effects on the environment. The Division of Industrialised and Sustainable Construction at Luleå University of Technology will engage a doctoral student and a senior researcher who will follow, during a period of five years, the work of the housing company and also design strategies for sustainable refurbishment and maintenance.
