Travel grant for researcher in Skellefteå

Dan Johansson, PhD student in Mobile Systems at the Department of Mobile and Pervasive Computing, was awarded a travel grant from the Wallenberg Foundation, Jubileumsanslaget. The money will be used for a trip to Tampa, USA, participating in the Conference IEEE Local Computer Networks. The scholarship amounts is 9.000 SEK.

Dan Johanssons research covers mobility of applications and mobile e-services. The main research project is called NIMO, Nordic interaction and mobility research platform. 

- The article presented at the conference is the basis for my continued work in the NIMO project, says Dan Johansson. I will also serve as session chair at one of the workshops related to the conference, so the scholarship is important to me for several reasons. I hope that more people become aware of this possibility and take the chance to apply for the travel grant, he concludes.

Wallenberg Foundation – Jubileumsanslaget – Travel grant for younger PhD Students at LTU

Travel grant from Wallenberg Foundation – Jubileumsanslaget – can be applied for by young PhD Students (<35 years) for travel allowances to conferences abroad where own contributions will be presented at the conference. Travel grant can also be applied for in connection with prolonged stays at universities outside of Sweden.
