The Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket) is sponsoring the ePilot . The Luleå Railway Research Center (JVTC) at Luleå University of Technology (LTU) is the main responsible for the ePilot. JVTC with its board has delegated management and decisions regarding the project to an ePilot steering committee appointed by actors in the railway sector.
The engine of the virtual organization is the support that will staff and build the project structure, start up operations and projects, act as a driver, follow up as well as document and support the implementation of the results. The support is led by a project leader. The support also includes a process leader, an information logistics expert and a project administrator.
ePilot Stakeholder Group, where everyone is welcome, are invited to regular process meetings to contribute with knowledge and ideas to the project.
A preparation group representing potential recipients of results reviews the submitted project proposals and provides recommendations to the steering group's decision.
The staff consists of a project controller and support from the university legal department.
Selected sub projects are delegated to sub project managers.
