David Rönnberg Sjödin, senior lecturer in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, has received an award from Kungliga Skytteanska Samfundet to continue to develop his successful research at Luleå University of Technology.
Kunliga Skytteanska Samfundet assigns David Rönnberg Sjödin a price to a young researcher at Luleå University of Technology to mark his research in the areas of sales of functional products, advanced industrial services and new business models.
- Of course it is a great honor to be awarded this price. At the same time, it is an acknowledgment that the the work that my colleagues and I committed ourselves to is important and appreciated. Therefore, the price encourage us to continue our efforts to develop the research methods and knowledge to support Swedish industry transition to new business models, innovation and competitiveness, he says.
David Rönnberg Sjödin recieved his Ph. D in 2013 with his thesis on innovation cooperation between companies in the process industry and their suppliers. As a post-doc he has studied the development and sale of advanced services with some of the biggest processing companies in Sweden. This work has helped to strengthen the competitiveness of the region's leading companies LKAB, Gestamp Hardtech and Boliden. With the award, the Kunliga Skytteanska Samfundet wants to encourage David to continue to develop his research at Luleå University of Technology and thus further strengthen the university as a leading actor in entrepreneurship research.
The price is SEK 30 000 and will be handed out on the university's Academic Ceremony in November.
